Here's how it works:
To participate in the Miss and Teen Great Lakes local competition, you must complete several steps in the entry process. All steps are essential for you to be considered a contestant.
Registration Deadline: October 31, 2026 by 12:00 PM
Rehearsal: November 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM
Program Day: November 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM
Location: Zion-Benton Township High School
Step 1: Register with the Miss America Organization
If you are interested in competing in the 2027 local competition season, the first step is to register with the national Miss America and Miss America’s Teen Organization.
You can register online at https://www.club.missamerica.org/join and pay your annual subscription fee. After submitting your form, you will receive further communication from the Miss America Organization regarding follow-up requirements to ensure your registration is complete to compete.

Step 2: American Heart Association
Once you have joined the Miss America Opportunity and completed your Delegate Agreement, you will receive your personalized Spot Fund sign-up link. You are required to raise $30 for the American Heart Association per local you compete in. Click here for a step-by-step guide.
Step 3: Register for your Local Competition
To proceed with your entry process, fill out the Miss Illinois Delegate Registration Entry Form
Step 4: Pay your Entry Fee
To enter the competition, you will need to make a secure payment of $150* as your registration fee. Once your registration fee is received, you will receive a password for the delegate portal to complete the remaining steps, so secure your placement in the Miss and Teen Great Lakes local competition by signing up today! Delegates will also be required to sell a required amount of raffle tickets.
Step 5: Submit your paperwork
In the delegate portal you will be able to upload your Fact Sheet, Community Service Initiative (CSI) Statement, talent music selection (if applicable), and all other required items.
