Candidates who are 18 at the FIRST DAY or the State Competition may choose to compete as a Teen or Miss, you cannot change categories mid-season.

Areas of Competition
PRIVATE INTERVIEW - 30%
Each contestant will meet with a panel of judges for a private interview. Interviews are designed for judges to gain insight into a contestant's personality, intelligence, communication skills, ability to fulfill job requirements, and commitment to her initiative. Candidates are asked questions from their resume, social impact initiative, education, career goals, and other topics decided by the judging panel.


ON-STAGE
CONVERSATION - 10%
During this phase of competition, each contestant will answer an on-stage question. Judges look for the candidate’s ability to respond, her relatability, and stage presence. This is designed to give the audience a sense of her personality and the ability to think on her feet.
TALENT/HERSTORY - 20%
The talent phase of competition is designed to determine a contestant's interpretive ability, preparedness, technical skill, stage presence, and entertainment value. Contestants will prepare a 90-second performance and can sing, dance, play an instrument, recite a monologue, or even showcase a unique talent, such as speed painting or a science experiment!


HEALTH & FITNESS - 20%
This phase of competition is high-energy and designed for contestants to make an on-stage statement about their health journey, presence, personality, energy, and vitality. Her energy, charisma, and confidence will be taken into consideration. Each contestant must wear REBEL athletic wear and white sneakers while performing a short fitness routine.
EVENING GOWN - 20%
In this phase, contestants can showcase their charm, presence, personality, and grace. Contestants choose an evening wear outfit that complements their individual style and personality.
